Hotels

Rooms have been reserved for the Congress in a range of hotels in the vicinity of the Arena and Convention Centre, and delegates should contact their preferred hotel directly, quoting a special booking code in order to make their accommodation arrangements benefiting from discounts negotiated with the hotels. Bookings may be made now with prices guaranteed until 2nd May 2008: delegates are advised to book early. Bookings must be made by telephone, fax or email; we regret that bookings cannot be made at the discount rate via the hotels' normal websites (although you may find it helpful to check room availability using the websites before contacting your preferred hotel). Alternatively you may wish to make your own arrangements to stay in Liverpool or nearby.

Jurys Inn Liverpool

The new 310 bedroom Jurys Inn (opening late April 2008) is part of the Kings Waterfront development which incorporates the Congress venue, the Arena and Conference Centre. Jurys offers superior three-star accommodation and spacious and comfortable bedrooms with AC and high speed internet access. Rooms can accommodate two adults and two children, three adults sharing, or one person in complete comfort. Eating and drinking options in the hotel include restaurant, bar and coffee bar. Public car parking is available at £5 per day.


Express by Holiday Inn

Sympathetically converted from a 19th century, Grade 1 listed warehouse within Liverpool's famous Albert Dock made entirely from cast iron and red brick, this exceptional hotel occupies one of the most sought after locations in the city. It has been sensitively converted to ensure none of the charm and character of the original structure was lost. Great value opportunity to stay at the very heart of Liverpool's vibrant waterfront area and very close to the Congress venue. The hotel has 135 bedrooms, all with modem connections, and a breakfast room but no restaurant or bar, as there are numerous eating and drinking places in the Albert Dock complex. Public car parking is available at £5 per day.


Premier Travel Inn

The Premier Travel Inn is ideally situated in the heart of the Albert Dock in the middle of the Britannia Pavilion and right next to the "Beatles Story". This 186-room budget hotel offers guests the kind of facilities and comfort they might expect from more expensive places. There is a fully licensed restaurant/bar serving English cuisine. Pay and display car parking is available directly adjacent to hotel, at £1.50 per hour (8am-7pm); overnight charge is £2 (7pm-8am), 24 hour rate is £12.


Malmaison

Situated on Princes Dock, this new five star designer hotel has superb river views and a very stylish Plum cocktail bar, brasserie and a champagne bar. Part of a £14M project at the Prince's Dock, the hotel is the first purpose-built hotel commissioned by the Malmaison group. The hotel is of ultra modern design and has very sophisticated facilities - 131 luxurious, comfortable rooms, lush décor, state of the art gym and extras in rooms like power or drench showers, LCD TVs and free broadband. Car parking is available in an adjacent public car park, at a special rate of £15 per day for hotel guests.

Atlantic Tower Thistle

The Atlantic Tower Thistle has some of the best views across Liverpool and the River Mersey and is at the heart of the city's business centres. Located on the Pier Head adjacent to the famous Liver Buildings, overlooking the Mersey and close to the Albert Docks, the hotel offers 225 comfortable air-conditioned rooms, two restaurants, a lounge and a cocktail bar with fantastic river views. The hotel has recently been completely refurbished. Car parking is available at an additional charge.

A small number of rooms are available (on a first come, first served basis) at £79.


Crowne Plaza

The Crowne Plaza is superbly located in St. Nicholas Place, Pier Head, close to all major tourist attractions. Many of its 159 air-conditioned bedrooms have dramatic views of the Liver Building, the River Mersey and Princes Dock. High speed internet access is provided in all guest bedrooms and guests have full use of the Harbour club's gym and health club facilities,including a 18-metre swimming pool. Eating and drinking options include a brasserie and lounge bar.

Holiday Inn City Centre

Ideally located opposite Lime Street station, the Holiday Inn Liverpool City Centre is conveniently situated to experience all that the city of Liverpool has to offer. The hotel has 139 bedrooms over seven floors, each with a standard queen size bed (twin rooms have two queen sized beds), en-suite bathrooms complete with bath & power-shower and air-conditioning. There are great views over the whole city from rooms on the upper floors. Wi-Fi connections are available on the second floor, and wired modem connections are available in each bedroom, for which a £5 daily charge is made. Eating and drinking options in the hotel include Signals Brasserie and Bar. On-site discounted pay car parking is available.
