There are a range of opportunities to support the Congress, from exhibiting services to funding bursaries for delegates from developing countries . To receive more information, please email us.
Individual bursaries
This year's Congress promises to be an exciting and stimulating event, with research managers and administrators from all over the world gaining the opportunity to explore similarities in aspects of research management that cross national boundaries. We have invited research funding agencies and other conference supporters to contribute to a fund to provide bursaries for potential participants from developing countries, and for research administrators from low-funded institutions world-wide who otherwise could not afford to attend the Congress.
Bursary funding is available for qualifying participants from developing countries, and for research administrators from low-funded institutions world-wide who otherwise could not afford to attend the Congress. The bursary will cover the registration fee for the main conference (17-18 June) and may in addition be put towards conference travel and accommodation. Bursary funds are limited and organisers wish to support as many delegates as possible; applicants are encouraged to seek funding from other sources in addition to the personal bursary fund.
In order to apply for a bursary, please complete the bursary application form (or provide all the information in a new document or the body of an email, if easier) and ensure that it is returned to Rosemary Hatch by 18 April 2008. Applications received by this date will be considered by an assessment panel composed of senior members of INORMS societies. All applicants will be notified of the outcome of their application by the end of April 2008.
We will arrange visa invitation letters for delegates requiring visas for entry into the UK, including those who are not successful in bursary applications. Please ensure that you say on your application if you will need an visa invitation letter, and the date by which you must receive this in order to allow adequate time to obtain your visa.
Please feel free to contact Rosemary Hatch if you have any questions.
